Module 1 highlights international, regional and national frameworks, emerging global trends and jurisprudence on business and human rights, sustainability and ESG. It further highlights the emerging opportunities for lawyers in Africa by providing knowledge on the implication of global compliance frameworks to businesses in Africa as part of global supply chain, how the UNGPs are domesticated through the Kenya National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights and the emerging trends on responsible business in Africa. This is aimed at futureproofing Kenyan legal professional on implication of global trends on Business and Human Rights, sustainability and ESG.
