Chiraag
is an international disputes partner in the London office of Morrison Foerster.
Chiraag has over two decades of experience representing clients in domestic and
cross-border disputes including commercial and investor-state arbitrations
around the world. Chiraag grew up in and practiced in Kenya before relocating
to the UK and continues to maintain close ties to Kenya and East Africa. He has
led previous training sessions for A4ID on Human Rights and other initiatives
for a number of years.
Gareth
is one of the most experienced business crime and regulatory lawyers in the UK.
For the last thirty years, he has been involved in some of the leading cases
advising clients on sanctions, fraud, money laundering, bribery and accounting
fraud, often involving multi-jurisdictional issues. ESG compliance, including
the UK Modern Slavery Act and other human rights issues, is a significant part
of his practice. As global supply chain due diligence has increased, Gareth has
worked closely with the London ESG team to provide advice to global clients on
the need to review their compliance programmes.
Suz co-chairs the ESG, Social Enterprise + Impact Investing, and Energy practices. Her practice focuses on late-stage financings, secondaries, and other corporate transactions for investors, and on investments for some of the top investors dedicated to impact, from “impact first” foundations to family offices to private equity funds. She also advises the boards of public and private companies on corporate governance and fiduciary duties as applied to sustainability and climate change.
Stacey is co-chair of Morrison Foerster’s ESG practice and leads the firm’s Global Ethics and Compliance practice. She conducts anti-corruption, human rights, and compliance-focused due diligence in connection with acquisitions and provides counselling on a broad range of compliance issues. Stacey leverages her master’s degree in human rights to advise companies in connection with not only avoiding corruption, human rights, and other ethics and compliance risks and issues, but also in developing effective mechanisms to remediate such issues if they arise.
Nathan
Reilly is a member of the firm’s Investigations + White Collar Defense practice
group and its State + Local Government Enforcement team. As a former federal
and state prosecutor, Nathan is uniquely situated to assist clients in
navigating parallel investigations by multiple law enforcement agencies. Nathan
has vast experience working on federal and state investigations and enforcement
actions involving allegations of public corruption, bribery, anti money
laundering violations, financial crime, cybercrime, and national
security-related issues, among others.
Calum specialises in business crime and investigations. He has a wealth of experience in advising clients on compliance issues and due diligence, including in respect of fraud, money laundering, bribery and corruption, and tax evasion. Calum is also a member the firm’s National Security practice and regularly advises clients on sanctions and foreign direct investment compliance.
Nathan Keller is an associate in the Litigation Department of Morrison Foerster’s San Francisco office and a member of the Global Ethics and Compliance practice. Nathan assesses compliance risks across a broad range of issues and develops strategies to mitigate those risks. He conducts human rights and compliance-focused due diligence in connection with acquisitions and other transactions, as well as counseling on a broad range of compliance issues. He has experience assisting clients with internal and government-facing investigations.
Stephanie advises clients on commercial litigation and complex dispute resolution matters, including cross-border commercial contracts disputes, white-collar crime and internal corporate investigations involving government enforcement agencies. She has experience advising multi-national organisations in relation to compliance and regulatory matters, such as sanctions, money laundering, bribery and corruption. ESG compliance, including human rights due diligence and non-financial disclosure requirements, is also an important part of her practice and works closely with the London ESG team.
Oluwabamise “Bamise” is a Nigerian trained attorney. As an ESG Analyst, she assists with legal research and analysis regarding ESG regulations in the U.S. and all jurisdictions in which MoFo has offices or provides services. She also assists with drafting ESG compliance policies and procedures for asset managers, public companies, and private companies, as well as integrating ESG aspects of diligence in investment and M&A.
